RESUMO

In this paper, an adaptive remaining useful life prediction model is proposed for electric vehicle lithium batteries. Capacity degradation of the electric car lithium batteries is modeled by the multi-fractal Weibull motion. The varying degree of long-range dependence and the 1/f characteristics in the frequency domain are also analyzed. The age and state-dependent degradation model is derived, with the associated adaptive drift and diffusion coefficients. The adaptive mechanism considers the quantitative relations between the drift and diffusion coefficients. The unit-to-unit variability is considered a random variable. To facilitate the application, the convergence of the RUL prediction model is proved. Replacement of the lithium battery in the electric car is recommended according to the remaining useful life prediction results. The effectiveness of the proposed model is shown in the case study.

RESUMO

The rapid development of modern industrial technology has led to the increase of machinery precision. Laser tracking measurement systems represent a novel type of coordinate measurement method, which was developed on the basis of metrology. In this paper, we aim to define a single-station 3D coordinate rotating laser tracking measurement system based on the principle of the space coordinate method. In view of the current architecture and optical path of the system, we establish the ideal mathematical model of the system and derive the coordinate expression for arbitrary measured points in the measurement space. The output response of the photoelectric position detector to the rotating laser and the linearity of the position signal in the detection circuit have been detected via a concrete experiment. A laser tracking system was used to track the target mirror mounted on the coordinate measuring machine measuring spindle. It is shown that stable tracking is possible during the 3D movement of a cat's eye retroreflector if its velocity is 0.2 m/s and the distance to the moving object is 1-2 m. The corresponding velocity of the object must be 0.4 m/s. Our system provides a feasible implementation method for the tracking of the moving target space position.

RESUMO

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays an important role in disease diagnosis. The noise that appears in MRI images is commonly governed by a Rician distribution. The bendlets system is a second-order shearlet transform with bent elements. Thus, the bendlets system is a powerful tool with which to represent images with curve contours, such as the brain MRI images, sparsely. By means of the characteristic of bendlets, an adaptive denoising method for microsection images with Rician noise is proposed. In this method, the curve contour and texture can be identified as low-frequency components, which is not the case with other methods, such as the wavelet, shearlet, and so on. It is well known that the Rician noise belongs to a high-frequency channel, so it can be easily removed without blurring the clarity of the contour. Compared with other algorithms, such as the shearlet transform, block matching 3D, bilateral filtering, and Wiener filtering, the values of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) obtained by the proposed method are better than those of other methods.

RESUMO

Delocalized nonlinear vibrational modes (DNVMs) supported in crystal lattices are exact solutions to the equations of motion of particles that are determined by the symmetry of the lattices. DNVMs exist for any vibration amplitudes and for any interparticle potentials. It is important to know how the properties of DNVMs depend on the parameters of interparticle potentials. In this work, we analyze the effect of the Morse potential stiffness on the properties of one-component DNVMs in a face-centered cubic (fcc) lattice. In particular, the frequencies, kinetic and potential energy, mechanical stress, and elastic constants of DNVMs in a large range of vibration amplitudes are considered. Frequency-amplitude dependency obtained for the Morse crystal is compared with that obtained earlier for copper by using the potentials of the many-body embedded atom method. The properties of DNVMs are mainly dictated by their symmetry and are less influenced by the interparticle potentials. It is revealed that at low and high stiffness of interparticle bonds, different sets of DNVMs have frequencies above the phonon band. This is important to predict the possible types of discrete breathers supported by the fcc lattice. The results obtained in the work enrich the understanding of the influence of interparticle potentials on the properties of the studied family of exact dynamic solutions.

RESUMO

A practical approach to the search for (quasi-) discrete breathers (DBs) in a triangular ß-FPUT lattice (after Fermi, Pasta, Ulam, and Tsingou) is proposed. DBs are obtained by superimposing localizing functions on delocalized nonlinear vibrational modes (DNVMs) having frequencies above the phonon spectrum of the lattice. Zero-dimensional and one-dimensional DBs are obtained. The former ones are localized in both spatial dimensions, and the latter ones are only in one dimension. Among the one-dimensional DBs, two families are considered: the first is based on the DNVMs of a triangular lattice, and the second is based on the DNVMs of a chain. We speculate that our systematic approach on the triangular ß-FPUT lattice reveals all possible types of spatially localized oscillations with frequencies bifurcating from the upper edge of the phonon band as all DNVMs with frequencies above the phonon band are analyzed.

RESUMO

The equilibration of sinusoidally modulated distribution of the kinetic temperature is analyzed in the ß-Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou chain with different degrees of nonlinearity and for different wavelengths of temperature modulation. Two different types of initial conditions are used to show that either one gives the same result as the number of realizations increases and that the initial conditions that are closer to the state of thermal equilibrium give faster convergence. The kinetics of temperature equilibration is monitored and compared to the analytical solution available for the linear chain in the continuum limit. The transition from ballistic to diffusive thermal conductivity with an increase in the degree of anharmonicity is shown. In the ballistic case, the energy equilibration has an oscillatory character with an amplitude decreasing in time, and in the diffusive case, it is monotonous in time. For smaller wavelength of temperature modulation, the oscillatory character of temperature equilibration remains for a larger degree of anharmonicity. For a given wavelength of temperature modulation, there is such a value of the anharmonicity parameter at which the temperature equilibration occurs most rapidly.

RESUMO

In the marine systems, engines represent the most important part of ships, the probability of the bearings fault is the highest in the engines, so in the bearing vibration analysis, early weak fault detection is very important for long term monitoring. In this paper, we propose a novel method to solve the early weak fault diagnosis of bearing. Firstly, we should improve the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), structure of the traditional ADMM is changed, and then the improved ADMM is applied to the compressed sensing (CS) theory, which realizes the sparse optimization of bearing signal for a mount of data. After the sparse signal is reconstructed, the calculated signal is restored with the minimum entropy de-convolution (MED) to get clear fault information. Finally we adopt the sample entropy. Morphological mean square amplitude and the root mean square (RMS) to find the early fault diagnosis of bearing respectively, at the same time, we plot the Boxplot comparison chart to find the best of the three indicators. The experimental results prove that the proposed method can effectively identify the early weak fault diagnosis.

RESUMO

Light transmittance of a short-pitch deformed-helix ferroelectric liquid crystal cell was numerically studied when low and high voltage frequencies ([Formula: see text] kHz and [Formula: see text] kHz, respectively) are applied to the cell. The reported finding in the decay of light transmittance at increasing frequency is obtained due to reasonable simplifications of the temporal dependence of director's azimuthal angle. By taking experimentally known data, we numerically demonstrate that the increase in temperature of ferroelectric liquid crystals yields an insignificant change of light transmittance within all visible spectra.
